Head Office Additions/Renovations

Melloul-Blamey has done multiple renovations and additions to the Home Hardware head office in St.Jacobs, Ontario. This project transformed the existing office into a world class corporate head office and allowed them to departmentalize the growing administration groups in an efficient manner over 3 new floors.

Home Hardware continued to grow and it became necessary to expand the warehouse at the Walter Hackborne Distrubution Centre with two phases. Phase one added 130,000sq ft expansion and phase two added another 140,000sq ft with a 40,000sqft mezzanine. The challenge of this project was to keep the existing office areas and main computer room watertight during the demolition and construction phases. Some special features of the expansion projects was the addition of firewalls were constructed to compartmentalize for overall fire protection and safety as well as in-floor heating systems in the shipping and receiving areas of both phases. This project also came with the title of creating the first underground parking garage in Woolwich Township.
