GrandBridge Energy - The Gaslight District
Cambridge, Ontario
Converion of Historic Building to Office Space
This post & beam site was initially occupied as a foundry and subsequently the Tiger Brand Knitting Company. GrandBridge Energy purchased building E, which was renovated into a 21,000 square foot office space. As a part of the Gaslight Commercial District, they will be sharing the area with organizations such as Grand Innovations, a centre for applied research, development and innovation, and the Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning.
Featuring many of the original elements of the building, such as exposed wood beams, much of the main exterior structure, and interior brick and metalwork, this rejuvenated facility provides a modernized workspace with old-world industrial charm. The two-level office will become home to GrandBridge Energy’s administrative staff and serve Cambridge & Brantford’s hydro needs for years to come.
