AMCC WPL Renovation and Expansion 500 Parkside Drive, Waterloo Closing Date September 29 at 2 pm Question Deadline September 15, 2026 at 1:30pm The Albert McCormick Community Centre is a well-established neighbourhood recreation facility and community hub. Since opening in 1973, the McCormick Branch Library has served as Waterloo Public Library's first satellite branch and continues to provide valued library services, programs, and community spaces for residents. Together, the community centre and library play an important role in supporting recreation, literacy, inclusion, and community connection. This project will modernize and expand the existing facility through the demolition of the existing Community Room and McCormick Branch Library on the east side of the building, construction of a new library addition, and renovation of adjacent community spaces. The completed project will create a modern, accessible, and energy-efficient community hub that enhances library services, expands programming opportunities, and improves accessibility for all users.
