New Investigative Services Branch Building

This new police facility incorporates state-of-the-art security elements with innovative sustainable green building design. The two-storey building houses forensic science laboratories, a vehicle examination garage, meeting and interview rooms, office space, computer rooms and ancillary support rooms.

High tech ventilation systems and compartmentalization were required to preserve the integrity of police evidence while protecting the building occupants from lab chemicals.

This project achieved Gold Certification by the LEED® Canada Green Building Rating System. Key sustainable features inclue water conservation, recycled materials, daylighting, individual controls, and regionally sourced materials, including steel.
