Waterloo, Ontario

Multi-Phase Brewing Facility and Taphouse

Waterloo Brewing is Ontario's largest Canadian-owned brewery. This Expansion project consisted of 7 phases
throughout the entire facility, indoors & outdoors including a warehouse expansion, warehouse offices, tank cellar expansion and a taphouse restaurant along with infrastructure for a future cannabis processing line. The facility was originally built by Melloul-Blamey in 2005, and was expanded once already by Melloul-Blamey in 2015.

This multi-million dollar facility is 3 times larger and can produce 5 times the amount of beer in comparison to Brick’s original Waterloo location.

Details include a parking lot expansion, new CO2 tank pads, and a new canning line within the existing warehouse. The new 54,000 sq.€. warehouse will be utilized as additional storage, tank farm, additional Canning Line and a future THC processing area and store.

The Taphouse is a unique space, with countless custom finishes, including a "mini" brewhouse within. Reclaimed brick from the original Brick Brewery in Waterloo was used to add a heritage element to the new space.

What our clients have to say...

"“Melloul-Blamey’s team was outstanding throughout our Waterloo Brewing expansion. Their technical knowledge and experience helped us navigate significant scope changes and nearly 90 design revisions, while still maintaining the project schedule—despite restrictive site access and our plant operating 24/7. Their ability to adapt quickly, provide clear cost and time options, and keep momentum was impressive. We’re proud of what we accomplished together and look forward to continuing our relationship.” Luigi Fantin, Director of Capital Engineering, Waterloo Brewing"
