New Medical Teaching Facility

The University of Waterloo new four storey Applied Health Sciences (AHS) building includes a state-of-the-art research and teaching space, the 56,000 square-foot-facility, includes kinesiology research and teaching labs, as well as a 350-seat lecture theatre for classes, public lectures and conferences. The building houses the University's School of Anatomy, one of only a few anatomy labs outside of medical schools in Ontario. It also contains a graduate student seminar room, offices and a number of student workspaces.

The steel structure building includes a large amount of concrete work and attaches to three existing buildings, creating a courtyard available to those utilizing the four buildings. The exterior finishes vary from curtain wall panel to metal and brick veneers.
