Dual-Building Long Term Care Expansion

The Southampton Care Centre ihas undergoing a significant expansion with the construction of a new facility behind the existing one on Grey St. South. This redevelopment project, owned by Jarlette Health Services, included a total of 76 additional long-term care beds and 85 apartments tailored for seniors. The new complex consist of two three-story buildings, one designated for the senior apartments and the other for long-term care accommodations.
Notably, the current fully accredited long-term care home continued to operate during the construction process, ensuring uninterrupted care for residents. The project aligned with provincial approval granted in 2020 and aimed to integrate seamlessly into the neighborhood, emphasizing nature-centric design elements and creating a holistic living environment for residents.
