Grand Innovations - 96 Grand Ave S.

Cambridge, Ontario

Repurposing a 19th-Century Industrial Building

This post & beam site was originally occupied as a foundry and subsequently the Tiger Brand Knitting Company. After extensive redevelopment it is now home to Grand Innovations, a centre for applied research, development and innovation in the tech industry. The building, part of the Gaslight District, is also anchored by Conestoga College Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning. This new centre serves as the college’s Applied Research facility and shares the lower floor with the City of Cambridge Economic Development Division.

The rejuvenated facility provides a diverse environment with turnkey offices and workspaces, specialized programs, and food services along with presentation and recreation facilities.

This innovation hub will be home to more than 300 future high-tech jobs in a collaborative environment with a myriad of support businesses.
