Circa 1877 Condominiums

Waterloo, Ontario

Luxury Condo Living in Waterloo

In the centre of boutique shops, restaurants, and the ION LRT (Light-Rail Transit) Circa 1877 is condo living in Waterloo like no other. This building’s leading-edge amenities will elevate your living experience, and its modern home automation will simplify your life.

Circa 1877 features a 300,000 sq.ft. total precast re-development, fusing historic brick and beam elements from the former Brick Brewery with modern architecture. The building attributes a raft slab foundation to hold this massive 20 storey structure and micropiles to support the old brewery.

Due to a small site area for this project, an in-fill of the building facade was accomplished after the tower crane was removed. Circa 1877 features 6 storeys of indoor parking, combined with 3 floors of office, retail and commercial areas, a pool on the 6th storey, 15 storeys of condominium space and much more.

As a testament to its high-quality construction, Circa 1877 was presented with a 2021 Precast Concrete Award for Mid to High Rise Residential Buildings by the Ontario Concrete Awards and a 2022 North American PCI Design Award for All-Precast Concrete Solution.

HIP Developments

What our clients have to say...

"We at HIP Developments wholeheartedly endorse the exemplary work of Melloul-Blamey Construction. Our continued relationship with the organization has contributed to the completion of our multi-award-winning project, CIRCA 1877. We commend the guidance and professionalism exhibited by Melloul-Blamey's Superintendents and Project Team, who saw our project completed on time and within budget. We are thrilled with the results, as Melloul-Blamey exceeded our expectations by providing an architecturally stunning build that will stand the test of time. This build required extra care due to the complication of joining a new pre-cast building to the existing historic brick and beam elements from the former Brick Brewery, which now has its new home at the base of CIRCA 1877. We consistently receive positive feedback from our tenants and suite owners, who are impressed with the build's unique features and quality. I would not hesitate to recommend the entire Melloul-Blamey Construction team continually and am happy to be a reference for anyone considering a future partnership. "
