Community Hub & Affordable Housing Development
The Rose Street Social and Community Services and Affordable Housing Development is a $217 million mixed-use project located in Barrie, Ontario, on a 1.9-hectare site. As the Construction Manager, we are responsible for overseeing the build of 215 rental units, which include a mix of rent-geared-to-income and affordable housing, catering to a wide range of community needs. The development also features designated space for social, health, and community services, with an emphasis on sustainable urban living in a densely built area that supports access to commercial amenities and public transit.
Scheduled for completion between 2026 and 2027, the project will involve extensive site preparation and demolition work, followed by phased construction. The new design incorporates a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units, ensuring maximum density while maintaining functionality and comfort. Additionally, the relocation of social service offices into the parking structure creates more residential space. This project highlights our commitment to quality, efficiency, and contributing to affordable housing solutions in Simcoe County.
