Redevelopment of Former Manufacturing Plant

A unique and structurally complex renovation; this project includes office and retail tenant space with a large public corridor leading individuals from the light rail transit station through a 15,000 square foot open-air courtyard. The glazed perimeter, interior walls and twenty-three 8 foot skylights through the main corridor and tenant spaces provide an abundance of natural light and feeling of openness in the centre of the building.

Removal of the existing roof and shoring of the building was necessary to create the central courtyard. This modern space also features a grand staircase that leads to a 20,000 square foot mezzanine with a private rooftop patio.

This project achieved Silver Certification by the LEED® Canada Green Building Rating System. Key sustainable features include energy efficiency measures resulting in a 45% reduction in energy costs.
