Large Muli-Building Renovation and Addtion
This multi-building and storage yard project houses the City of Waterloo's city works fleet and equipment and is to be constructed while staying operational and without interruptions to the city operations during its three phases of construction.
The project consists of the construction of a new pre-engineered fabric structure for salt/sand storage, upgrade to vehicle storage building with heating and electrical upgrade, addition of workshop and meter room to the existing service building, and construction of a new cold storage building for water services storage.
The LEED portion of the project includes a two-storey addition and a new entrance canopy on the administration building. A rainwater harvesting and control structure will be implemented and will serve as a model for water conservation and sustainable storm water management and reduce storm water discharges which is reused back in the vehicle wash bay.
