Waterloo Brewing Expansion

Kitchener, Ontario

Warehouse Addition and Renovations

Waterloo Brewing is Ontario's largest Canadian-owned brewery. This Expansion project consisted of 7 phases throughout the entire facility, indoors & outdoors including a warehouse expansion, warehouse offices, tank cellar expansion and a taphouse restaurant along with infrastructure for a future cannabis processing line. The facility was originally built by Melloul-Blamey in 2005, and was expanded once already by Melloul-Blamey in 2015.

Details include a parking lot expansion, new CO2 tank pads, and a new Canning Line within the existing warehouse. The new 54,000 sq.ft. warehouse will be utilized as additional storage, tank farm, additional Canning Line and a future THC processing area and store.

The Taphouse is a unique space, with countless custom finishes, including a "mini" brewhouse within. Reclaimed brick from the original Brick Brewery in Waterloo was used to add a heritage element to the new space.

What our clients have to say...

"Similar to the last project, the Melloul-Blamey team worked extremely well with our company through the numerous changes made as the project unfolded. Their technical knowledge and experience helped us deal with multiple SPA submissions and nearly 90 design changes...Overall, we maintained our project schedule while working with restrictive access to the site as we were operating the plant in full production 24/7 and commissioning new processing equipment."
