Google Office Renovation

Kitchener, Ontario

Transformation of 100-Year-Old Factory to Google’s Canadian Headquarters

Sustainable practices were used to convert the second and third floors of the northern wing of the old Tannery building to offices. The new space provides extensive natural light and ventilation, with exposed ceilings and brick walls reflecting the character of the historic building.

Alarge multipurpose space serves as a gathering area for up to 150 staff members, while also offering possibilities for community use. Special features include a recreational games room, a one story slide to bypass the staircase, and a private patio deck. The overall look and feel of the office is relaxed, open, and fun, reflecting Google’s corporate values.
