General Contracting
Melloul-Blamey's roots come from public and invited tenders, and it has successfully prepared and procured lump sum bids for projects ranging from $50,000 to over $50 million. These contracts typically involve construction documents and drawings prepared by architects, from which general contractors submit a fixed price and the lowest price is most often awarded the job. Melloul-Blamey's bonding and insurance program and safety track record exceed industry standards.
Construction Management
Melloul-Blamey's approach to construction management is to partner with its consultants, subtrades and the client to collectively create the most efficient solutions within an affordable budget. Construction management offers many advantages over contracting including:

Project Management
The owner contracts the service of a project manager or a project management firm to prepare a Statement of Program Requirements. The project manager then engages the services of architects, engineers and general contractors on behalf of the owner. Melloul-Blamey has acted as both the project manager and the general contractor under this form of contract.
Design-Build
A single firm is engaged to complete the design and construction of the required facility. This method provides the client with a lump sum price, and puts the responsibility on the shoulders of the design-build firm. Melloul-Blamey is contracted to lead the team of architects, engineers and subtrades from design through to completion. Direct communication between the owner and Melloul-Blamey ensures single source responsibility, giving the client peace of mind.
