Fundraisers and Special Events

Melloul-Blamey routinely loans Neil Aitchison, Senior Manager of Market Development, on company time as emcee for charitable fundraisers and special events. Most recently, he worked with United Way, Stratford Festival and Drayton Entertainment for Spotlight on Goderich, a benefit concert which raised $100,000 to aid tornado victims.

Spotlight on Goderich: A Variety Show

Hosted by Neil Aitchison this one-of-a-kind theatrical benefit featured singing, dancing, and comedy routines from some of Canada's finest professional theatrical talent. All event proceeds were designated to the Goderich Tornado Relief Fund administered by the United Way Perth-Huron.

Cristie's Cause

Melloul-Blamey's commitment to community betterment extends to the entire staff, as evidenced by an initiative called Cristie's Cause.  Melloul-Blamey's President implemented a $10,000 matching program to inspire employees to work together and raise funds for a local family that required a customized van with lift in order to accommodate a wheelchair. The employees rallied with a live and silent auction, spaghetti dinner, and other camraderie-filled events, netting $50,000 towards the purchase of this vehicle. Previously housebound, as a result, this family is now able to explore everything Waterloll Region has to offer, from live theatre to farmer's markets.
