The Greater Kitchener Waterloo Chamber of Commerce named Melloul-Blamey as the 2008 Business Leader of the Year (>20 employees). In the same year the company was a regional finalist in the Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies Program. In 2006 Bernie Melloul was honoured by the Ontario General Contractors Association with the prestigious Chairman's Award of Recognition.
The GVCA Building Excellence Awards is a bi-annual event where excellence in building is recognized through a juried process. Melloul-Blamey has not come away empty handed at any of the 6 past awards galas. In 2010 the Environmental Achievement Award of Excellence was won for A Grander View, Enermodal Engineering's new headquarters in Kitchener, ON. In addition, Melloul-Blamey was honoured with four additional Awards of Merit for AllRoads Dodge Chrysler Jeep, St. Marys, ON, MHBC Planning Consultants, Kitchener, ON, Woolwich Memorial Centre, Elmira, ON and the Light Korean Presbyterian Church in Mississauga, ON. In 2008 the Award of Excellence for Restoration was received for the Hespeler Library in Cambridge, ON, as well as an Award of Merit for the Waterloo Innovation Park. In 2006 Melloul-Blamey walked away with four Awards of Excellence for The Elliott Home in Guelph,ON, the Home Hardware Warehouse Additions in St. Jacobs, ON, The Brick Brewing Company bottle washing facility, Kitchener, ON and Hanson Pontiac Buick GMC, New Hamburg, ON. In 2003 Melloul-Blamey was recognized for The University of Waterloo Co-operative Education and Career Services Building in Waterloo, ON, Zeton, Burlington, ON and Duron Plastics Limited, Cambridge, ON. In 2002 the Community Fellowship Church, Waterloo, ON and the Millennium Parkhouse at Grey Silo, Waterloo, ON won awards and in 2001 Melloul-Blamey was awarded the Bid Spec Project of the Year award.

The Ontario General Contractors Association in cooperation with the Construction Safety Association of Ontario recognizes distinguished achievement in Health and Safety with the annual Accident Prevention Zero Frequency Award for having achieved zero frequency of injuries. Melloul-Blamey has achieved this distinction for many consecutive years: 1987, 1988, 1993, 1995, 1997-2000, 2002-2006, 2008-2010.
Most recently Melloul-Blamey Construction was honoured with the OGCA Milestone Award in recognition of the achievement of reaching over 1 million consecutive derived hours worked without a lost-time injury from 2008-2010.
